Our story
A DESERT CAMP BUILT AROUND LOCAL KNOWLEDGE
Ahnsal began with a simple idea: the Sahara is not something to watch from the road, but to live for a night or two. Our camp sits in the dunes near M’Hamid El Ghizlane, a Saharan gateway town in the Draa Valley of southern Morocco. Here the asphalt ends, palm groves give way to open sand, and the constellations feel close enough to touch.
We are a local family team. That means we know the routes, the sand, the seasons and the people of this corner of the Sahara. When you stay with us, you are welcomed as a guest of the desert itself — around shared tea, a quiet fire and honest hospitality that has been shaped here for generations.
